Benefit for Haiti Earthquake Relief Raised $1942!!
On January 23rd Birchwood Center held a charity event to benefit the people of Haiti. All Proceeds were donated to the Red Cross, earmarked for Haiti Earthquake Relief
Our original intention was to offer these YogaDayUSA classes to everyone for free, but after the disaster in Haiti we asked participants to donate for Earthquake Relief.
Charlene Bradin and Betsy Ceva offered two yoga classes and a community meditation to Nyack yoga practitioners. 43 students attended and generously contributed $1442. A $500 donation from Birchwood brought the total donation for the Red Cross to $1942! Birchwood Center is very proud and grateful for the generosity of our students, who are always so willing to help others in times of crisis.
